Halloween Necklace and Bracelet Pendants

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

Cara Briscoe, one of our wonderful vendors, is offering fun Halloween necklace and bracelet pendants on our site. Designed and created personally by Cara, her pendants are sold in selective boutique stores. They are extremely popular and sell out quickly. Our website is fortunate to be the ONLY website that carries Cara’s pendants. A few other stores offer similar pendants, however, they are priced much higher.

Cara’s pendants are made from regular and beveled glass. She carefully chooses her unique designs and combinations. They can be beautifully worn with a pearl necklace, silver necklace, charm bracelet and a regular bracelet. They make unique and wonderful presents.

I personally wear Cara’s pendants almost daily and purchased some small round initial pendants for my grand daughters. There is no limit on how you can wear them and interchange them to create different looks.

Don’t miss out on purchasing fun Halloween pendants for yourself, friends and family.

Witch’s Gruel

Lots of owl’s eyes.
Sprinkle of colorful flies.
Pointy toes of lizards.
And a bunch of chicken gizzards.

Drops of blood in small doses
And a few cute ghost noses.
Fine bones of a bat
With fat claws from a cat.

Ants, one handful will do.
Mixed all together for the
best witch’s Gruel.

Halloween costumes and Halloween pendants are other fun ideas for both children and adults.

Easy Decadent Homemade Oreo Truffles

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

1 regular size pkg oreo cookies
1 8 oz. pkg of cream cheese
1 8oz. pkg Baker’s semi-sweet chocolate squares

In blender or magic bullet, chop oreo cookies until fine. If you are using a small blender like a magic bullet, only add 6 cookies at a time. After all cookies have been finely chopped, add cream cheese. Thoroughly mix with a mixer.

Using a spoon or cookie scoop (can be purchased at kitchen supply stores) make small round balls and place them on a greased cookie sheet. (Pam) Place in refrigerator until completely chilled.

After chilling at least 6 hours (overnight is better) prepare the Baker’s chocolate as directed on back of box for melting chocolate. Use the microwave directions. This is easy and quick.
One by one dip the oreo and cream cheese balls into the melted chocolate. Place again on a greased cookie sheet. (Pam spray is the easiest to use). Chill again for at least 6 hours.

This recipe is amazing. The truffles melt in your mouth! It is a great gift. This would be a wonderful gift for friends and family at Christmas or your sweetheart at Valentine’s Day.

*Note: You can purchase candy fillers and boxes at some candy stores and some party stores.
They are inexpensive and make your Truffles look like they came out of a candy store. Put on the box “Specially homemade by…your name”
